The grant strategy is implemented through donations and collaborations that enables a greater impact of the foundation\u2019s funds.<\/p>\n<p>Lauritzen Fonden wants to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secure and create new knowledge regarding the challenges and obstacles within the field<\/li>\n<li>Enter into new forms of collaboration and partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Anchor new methods to enhance the positive outcome and effect of initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The foundation has a historic background and special interest in the cities of <strong>Ribe<\/strong>, <strong>Esbjerg\/Fan\u00f8<\/strong>, <strong>Helsing\u00f8r<\/strong>, <strong>Aalborg<\/strong> and <strong>Frederikshavn<\/strong>. These cities as well as Svendborg and \u00c6r\u00f8 are a primary target for our activities.<\/p>\n<p>All relevant applications are reviewed in the grant committee who then gives its recommendations to the board of directors \u2013 the final approving authority.<\/p>\n<p>As a commercial foundation we also seek to enhance and develop Danish shipping and enterprise. As part of the grant strategy employee\u2019s children are supported with student grants and Lauritzen Group Employees are able to receive support for their volunteer work.
