Continuation school in Denmark

Grants: Up to DKK 40,000 although not exceeding 50 % of your own share of basic fees. You can apply more than once, but you can´t be granted more than DKK 40,000 in total, although you plan more than one year at continuation school

Supplementary conditions

Grants are for young people wishing to take Year 8, 9 or 10 at a college / efterskole in Denmark – or who go straight to college after matriculating from secondary school.

It is expected that the employee’s child independently formulates the reason for wanting to attend residential college.

College official statement of user charge “Betalings-opgørelse” is a prerequiste for the application to be processed. Must therefore be uploaded in the system.

Book grants

Grants: Up to DKK 21,000, max DKK 7,000 p.a.

Supplementary conditions

You must be attending a further education and the books, PC etc. must be essential for the completion of your education.

1)

High School/College/University abroad for one academic year

A max. of kr. 60,000. can be granted.

Supplementary conditions
Documentation from the high school/college must accompany the application. You should generally be in secondary/higher education, etc., when applying. The stay must last at leat 3 months.

2)

Volunteer social or cultural work abroad

A max. of kr. 60,000. can be granted.

Examples:

• Street children projects
• Teaching/working with children
• Voluntary service camps
• Supplementary conditions

At least 3 months unpaid stay. Grants are available for young people who have finished school and who wish as part of their personal development/commitment to serve in a Danish voluntary organisation in another country.

Please be aware

The applicant must contribute financially to the trip and submit a budget. In order for the grant to be tax exempt it has to be used for covering basic necessities incl. food, travel expenses, housing and tuition.

Original vouchers are required for all expenses.
